3 Design and Lifestyle Blogs Worth Reading
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]here is an increasingly large amount of blogs with various topics growing every day. As I’ve currently been redesigning my own blog to make it stand out more, change the look and feel, experimenting with fonts and so on, there are many blogs out there that I really enjoy reading. Further to that, they too have upgraded to different themes and changed their looks so to speak. As much as I have a passion for the modern interior home, fashion, music, photography etc., I also enjoy sophisticated blog and web design. I personally gravitate to blogs or websites that have an appealing, fresh, modern and clean design.
So to start things off, here are my current 3 favorite blogs I’m loving at the moment (in no particular order). I’m in the process of recreating my blogroll (blog love) at the moment and want to promote high quality design and lifestyle blogs that I admire and aspire to be just as fabulous (a girl can dream can’t she!).
Domaine Home
First, I love their website design. It’s clean and simple with all the right touches of a modern blog… totally up my alley. Just viewing their Décor section alone, you can see their topics are chic-ly modern and swoon-worthy.
Domaine is a shoppable online magazine spotlighting stylish shelter content for fashionable consumers. Launched by the creators of WhoWhatWear.com, and led by Mat Sanders (Domino, Apartment Therapy), the site is a resource for aesthetics-minded creatively intelligent design lovers looking for home décor inspiration and ideas.
Garance Dore
Garance Dore is one of my new favorite finds, I discovered this blog a few months back when I blogged about her new illustrations and partnering with Rifle Paper. If you read her about page, it’s full of insights to her life, where she’s been, even writing for Vogue Paris, how tres chic! This blog is focused on fashion, lifestyle and of course… fashion illustration.
Shop: My favorite products by Garance Dore, they are simply gorgeous!
This is Glamorous©
First, the blog design is divine. The layout is not typical of most blogs, this theme is sophisticated with changes in dimensions by image or section you’re viewing as you’re scrolling. Here is a screenshot to give you an idea.
This is Glamorous© is focused on fashion, travel, arts & culture, food and of course my favorite design and décor.
A celebration of design in all its forms: what began as a place to catalog beautiful things has transformed into an international place of inspiration, capturing the imaginations of thousands of daily readers from around the world.
