{Free Pattern} Amy Butler – Nigella Silhouettes
I found this free pattern on the Amy Butler website to make lovely framed silhouettes. A perfect way to accessorize your decor in a budget friendly manner. A marriage for that picture frame you don’t know what to do with and those left over pieces of fabric that you knew you put to good use one day and voila, pretty framed art.
I also think this might be useful to use patterned paper if you don’t want to use fabric. There is such an amazing assortment of paper, especially scrap-booking paper. Visit your local paper or craft store and let the creativity begin. Knowing me, I’ll find a lot of patterns and won’t be able to decide, but then again, I can make more than one and mix and match, same as the image (left). I find that we are embracing more color these days, you can not only see it in home decor but in fashion too, you’ll notice lots of color this season.
This might be a perfect way to collect your best girl friends and have a get together to exchange frabric, paper and best of all ideas with a glass of wine.
Looking for inspiration? This project is perfect to add cute silhouettes of your children’s favorite animals to the kids bedrooms. Or perfect for the baby nursery.
Enjoy.
