I just discovered AHAlife…
I just recently discovered a new site last week called AHAlife. What does it mean?
AHA: The universal sound of discovery.
Life: Be inspired every day.
Some things are just meant to go together. AHAlife is the online discovery destination where you can learn about – and purchase – the best unique products from around the world, collectively curated by our group of influential tastemakers. 1 New Discovery. Every 24 Hours. 100% Inspiring—that’s what we’re all about. We showcase and sell a new hand-selected item each day and tell the story behind the making of the product, along with a designer profile and sometimes a video or audio slideshow that takes you inside the creative process.
This video highlights how founder Shauna Mei discussing the big aha! that inspired the idea behind AHAlife.
The site showcases items from a variety of products including fashion, food, beauty, travel and my favorite, items for the home and decor. What I like most about this site is the uniqueness of the products, products I’ve never seen before… don’t you just love discovering new things! I know I do. Here are some of my personal favorites.
Skull in a Bottle Wine Decanter
An exercise in sophisticated rebellion, this well-crafted wine decanter has a skull inside that emerges as the level of wine gets lower. It’s the kind of item that makes you look badass, just sitting out on your bar or counter.
Black Love is Art Kit
Nude paintings just got a little more personal with the introduction of this art kit, in which you and your significant other immortalize a night of love-making. The kit comes with everything you might need to produce a one-of-a-kind abstract painting for any room of the house. And if that’s not creative, we don’t know what is.
There are other art kits available such as the Gold Love is Art Kit, Love is Art Criss Cross Edition and many others. A perfect way to create your very own art!
Table Top Steel and Slate Fireplace
Designed to look like two stainless steel logs anchored to a slate base, this stylishly reductive take on the fireplace was designed for Carl Mertens by Gido Wahrmann. A unique centerpiece for your table, it radiates light and warmth.
Lava Lamp
Flip the switch and illuminate the work of one of the twentieth century’s greatest ceramic artists. Handmade by Peruvian artists of high quality porcelain from a design taken from the archives of ceramics master Waylande Gregory, this lamp is both a collectors’ item and a pretty snazzy gift.
And that’s just a small taste! There are hundreds more product choices… I’m seriously impressed with AHAlife.
