I’m Obsessed with Moooi

   

Here are some of my favorite Moooi finds, perfect pieces to add pinache and glamour to your decor. 

Tree Table Lamp – Design by Moooi Works, 2009. By Moooi. The Moooi Works team has taken a new approach in the creation of the Tree table lamp. The traditionally fabric shade is made from oak veneer, available in three finishes. The shade is finished on the inside as well as outside and features a “surprise” glass globe diffuser. The stem is solid turned wood. 

Square Boon – Design by Piet Boon, 2002. Made in the Netherlands by Moooi. A large scaled square shade pendant, with bottom diffuser to shield direct view of the light source. The shade, available in several colors, is a PVC/cotton laminate with metal frame. The bottom diffuser is a white PVC/viscose laminate, also with metal frame. Square Boon provides diffused, ambient illumination. Ships with a single socket light source. Optional 3x Light Fitting can be ordered to increase the light output. 

Sponge Vase – Design by Marcel Wanders, 1997. Made in the Netherlands by Moooi. Developed in a project with Droog Design and Rosenthal. The quality of porcelain is best reflected through its fine and delicate properties, a quality that is not celebrated when using a mold. Marcel Wanders has developed a technique to produce porcelain objects without the use of plaster molds. A synthetic sponge is taken and dipped into a fluid porcelain clay slip. The clay impregnates the foam. Once dried, the foam is fired within a kiln. The foam is then burnt away leaving the perfect porcelain replica of the sponge. An intelligent manufacturing process that has the ability to show the intricate qualities of porcelain clay. 

This is one of my favorite lighting fixtures I see it in countless design magazines, I want this Moooi Random Light!
